Local attractions include the Sarina Sugar Shed, The Sarina Museum, The Field of Dreams, The Hay Point Coal Facility (the biggest coal terminal and jetty in the world), and the Mansfield Park Educational Animal Nursery.
Just to the north of Sarina is Mackay, which has easy access to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands (including the nearby Brampton Island), as well as the Eungella National Park.
