About Sarina

Located just to the south of Mackay, Sarina is a picturesque town with around 11,000 people calling it home.

Sarina has a very laid back atmosphere, with several beautiful beaches with great fishing located within a short commute from your base at the Tramway Motel.

Sarina is famous for its sugar industry, with many sugar cane fields surrounding the town.

The Inlet is a scenic area, with easy boat access opening up a world of fresh and saltwater fishing.

Local attractions include the Sarina Sugar Shed, The Sarina Museum, The Field of Dreams, The Hay Point Coal Facility (the biggest coal terminal and jetty in the world), and the Mansfield Park Educational Animal Nursery.

Just to the north of Sarina is Mackay, which has easy access to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands (including the nearby Brampton Island), as well as the Eungella National Park.
